I had the tremendous privilege to attend a contemporary lace class prior to the OIDFA Congress at Groningen. The tutor was the talented Nel Butter.  Her work as well as other members of the Experikant group were on display at the Museum at Zwolle. The exhibition Hollandsche Kant was superb and well worth a visit. LOKK have published Hollandsche Kant: met passer en liniaal (Dutch Lace: with compass and ruler) to coincide with the exhibition.

Marie Visser displayed pieces of her ‘Raster in Kant’ during the Congress at Groningen.

What I found most beneficial from the Congress was to renewed my acquaintance with a certain methods of working contemporary lace which I have found refreshing , challenging and inspirational.
