Similar to Buckinghamshire Lace in England, Lille Lace in France Tønder lace is a ‘point ground’ lace.

Emil Hannover helped promote interest in Tønder lace especially through his book: Tønderske Kniplinger.

To discover more about this fascinating lace you can see some examples at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.

As this is a Danish lace I would recommend a trip to Denmark and the Kunstindustrimusset in Copenhagen.
